Olivia and Neil

Last week I had an e-session with Olivia and Neil. They are tons of fun, and their wedding will be great. They're having a multi-colour, pink, orange and red colour theme, and Olivia is having her boy friend (not boyfriend!) stand up with her instead of bridesmaids.

This is close to the spot where they got engaged a year ago. I Keep getting clients who know how to pose. Its awesome!

They obviously adore each other.

Here we are hanging out in an alley down town. It was about 30 C that day, so the smell of garbage was a little strong. There was a big garbage bin in our way, so we moved it - not sure if we were supposed to or not, but this wall is way to cool not to use as a back ground. We did get yelled at by someone in an SUV who wanted to get past, but the cop in the next shot didn't look twice at us (I though I'd keep him in the picture for a little extra ambience.)

This session was so much fun, thanks for spending the afternoon with me, and I can't wait for your wedding!

Kim and Martie

These great people are Kim and Martie, and I am really excited about photographing their wedding. First - because they're so good looking.

Second, because they are really FUN! Here, I'm being a big-game hunter, and they're my prey. This was one of the funnest (is that a word?) shoots I've done in a while. You've gotta love people who are up for anything and full of fun ideas.Kim is so beautiful, and sort of mellow.

Martie on the other-hand . . .
How many engagement shoots do you get to do where the groom to be jumps out of trees? And asks if I want to take pictures of his future bride standing on the trellises of the bridge? (Kim turned him down on this one.)
And they are so-stinking-in-love. In a really awesome way!

I knew I was really going to like them when Kim told me about Martie's proposal. Martie surprised her with a trip to London for the weekend (she thought she was going to Vancouver, until after they got through security.) They got bumped to first class (yeah!) and then when they got to London, they went to the Royal Gardens, and Martie told Kim he was going to take a photo of the two of them - like they always do when they travel - and then proposed to her, and caught it on film . How awesome is that?!
Here, Martie shook the tree to get pink petals to fall in the picture.

I'm really looking forward to your wedding guys!!!!!!

Patricia and Ryan

Patricia and Ryan are getting married next summer, and wanted some photos to celebrate their engagement. They love to golf together, which is convenient, because the Victoria Golf Course is a beautiful place for photographs.

They're really excited about their wedding, and I'm excited to go and take their photos.

Congratulations on your engagement!

Tamy and Mike

Tamy and Mike are getting married in the Philippines in August and wanted some photographs to show their families back home. They wanted snow in their photos and I was beginning to panic as the two weeks before our shoot were really warm (for Edmonton in March!) and all the snow was disappearing.

The day of our shoot, it was freezing cold, but Tamy and Mike were such good sports as we raced around the river valley getting in as many photos as we could before we froze to death.

Tamy and Mike are a really sweet couple and I can't wait to hear how their wedding goes.
